A couple of days ago I organized for two friends to help me out with getting new headshots for my acting cv sites.
A headshot is a portrait picture, were you can’t be too styled, that will accurately show a casting director or director what age span you can portray and how you really look. A little make up is allowed of course 😀
I asked Anna Mirow, who actually went to the same high school as me, a very talented make up artist to do make up and hair. Andreas Lindbäck, whom I’ve shot with many times already agreed to take some time off his busy schedule to shoot the headshots. We borrowed Freddy Billqvists studio out in Furulund, and snapped away. I must say I could not have hoped for a better outcome! Picture after picture was too good to throw out, and so Andreas will have a bunch of headshots to work on. Just a little photoshop, nothing major. A few strands of hair misplaced here and there. Getting the colours right. Andreas is very good at post, so I am super excited to see the pictures!!! Having many pictures to choose between is great news for me, as different markets (read: countries) have different tastes as to what a good head shot photo looks like.
We also had a lot of fun! Anna is such a goof 😀 When we felt confident we were finished with shooting the headshots we started playing. Anna could do whatever she wanted with my make up and hair, and Andreas kept shooting. We managed to get a 4 pic beauty story. Not sure we will push it to go to print anywhere, but it’s gonna look great!
It really is worth the time and money to find that photographer that does good headshots.
Anna gave me a natural but glamourous look. I wore a blouse I found on sale at H&M.
